The warm golden foliage, soft afternoon light, and crisp autumn air create the perfect setting for capturing a family just enjoying time together. For this Liberty State Park family session, I photographed Mom, Dad, and their adorable daughter surrounded by beautiful fall colors and the stunning New York City skyline. From the very beginning, the session felt relaxed and playful, which allowed me to capture genuine smiles and sweet moments of connection.

With young children, I love letting the session unfold naturally rather than asking them to pose and smile for every photograph. This little girl had plenty of energy and personality, so we incorporated lots of movement and play into the session — swinging between Mom and Dad, running across the grass, cuddling with her parents, and even bringing along her own little camera to join in on the fun! Some of my favorite images are the ones where everyone is laughing and interacting naturally. These candid moments are what make a family gallery feel authentic and truly reflect this stage of childhood.

As a NJ family photographer, Liberty State Park is one of my favorite locations for fall family photos. The combination of colorful foliage, beautiful open fields, and panoramic views of Manhattan gives every session a unique mix of nature and the city. Most importantly, I want families to have fun during their session and leave with photographs that capture more than just what they looked like — photographs that bring back the feeling of this season in their lives. Fall is such a short and beautiful time of year, and I love preserving those playful, everyday moments for families to enjoy for years to come.
