For more than seven years, I’ve been offering my fall mini sessions in Jersey City, and over the years, something really special has happened — many of my clients have turned their fall photo session into an annual family tradition. I absolutely love seeing familiar faces come back year after year and watching their little ones grow from tiny babies into toddlers, big kids, and beyond. It’s one of my favorite parts of being a family photographer.
My fall mini sessions are designed to be short, relaxed, and playful — especially for families with babies and young children who may not have a long attention span. In 30 minutes, we can capture a wonderful variety of family portraits while leaving plenty of time for playing, cuddling, running around, and lots of giggling. I don't expect children to sit still and smile at the camera the entire time. Instead, I encourage families to interact naturally and have fun together, because some of the best photographs happen in those spontaneous moments.
Each session includes a beautiful online gallery with 30+ professionally edited images, giving families plenty of photographs to choose from. The mini session package includes 10 favorite images, and families also have the option to upgrade to the entire gallery — something many of my returning families choose because narrowing it down to just 10 can be surprisingly difficult!
After photographing families for so many years, I’ve come to realize that these annual sessions are about much more than getting a new family photo for the holiday card. They become a little snapshot of each year — how tiny your children were, their personalities at that age, the way they laughed, and how your family changed and grew. I’m always genuinely excited when I see a familiar family on my fall calendar, because I know I’ll get to spend another 30 minutes catching up, playing, laughing, and documenting another chapter of their story. Fall mini sessions in Jersey City and Liberty State Park have become such a special tradition for so many of my families, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of it year after year.
